Customizes covers for holes in surfaces such as countertops, etc. Usage: Enter hole’s dimensions: shape (circular/square/rectangular), dimensions, fillet radius. Define cover: overlap, thickness Define plug dimensions: length, clearance Choose if you like to have snaps or fins Don’t forget to TURN OFF “SHOW SLICE”, so you’ll get a full cap when you generate it. For best cover surface quality, print upside-down (cover on printing surface)

Nut knobs are useful for many purposes in DIY projects. All the different knobs in the gallery are made with this Customizer. I have added some sample knobs for M3 nuts as there are most common used size for 3d printer. The screwdriver handle for standard 1/4″ hex bits is surely a unusual application, but it works great. Especially if you need a extra small one for your project. If you got problems getting the knob in place, simply heat up the nuts a bit (about 60-80 °C / 140-175 °F) and it easily slips in place. Please refer the instructions to see the setting I have used for the sample files.
Works in Customizer! Updated to tweak nut capture size on 5 Feb 2015. A modifiable, parameterized knob useful for making knobs with hex head attachments. I tried to fully parameterize the design to make modification easy. By default, it will make a 5-pointed knob for a 1/4″ bolt. If you want to change it, you can set: the number of points on the finger knob the diameter of the knob the height of the knob the diameter of the thru-bolt for the shaft (in mm) optional nut captures on top and bottom (in Open SCAD Only) Thanks! to ‘fastryan’ for sharing the knob he designed – this was the basis for my code. If this isn’t versatile enough for you, check out wstein’s Ultimate Nut Knob Generator: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:713300 @billgertz successfully used these knobs with the hold down part here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:752098
This tutorial shows you how to connect Raspberry Pi to a CAN Bus (e.g. your car), by explaining the role of each part and some recurrent design errors.
